All our systems, cleaning products and practices take into account our policy of leaving the environment better than we found it.

Cleaning Practices and Products at our Hotel

We use only eco-friendly cleaning products in our retreat. To save electricity, we encourage our guests to turn the lights off when they are not using them. To reduce water use we ask our guests to please reduce the frequency of changing of sheets and towels during their stay.

Our septic system is a biodigestor that turns all human fecal matter into fertilizer and filters the water to come out clean.

Composting and Recycling

At Rio Chirripo Yoga Retreat & Hotel we reuse all fruit and vegetable waste and turn it into fertilizer for our gardens. We also recycle all glass, plastic, paper and tin.
